Chabaa Thai is moving, but not too far.
Chef Owner Moon Krapugthong announced Tuesday that she is moving her restaurant from 4371 Main Street, its home for the past 10 years, to a 4,500-square foot space at 4343-45 Main St.
The restaurant will close its current location on Sept. 27. The new space will open in early 2015.

A portion of the new space, which formerly housed Saxby’s Coffee, will become the main dining room with seating for 100. The old Main Street Market section will house the kitchen and Chabaa’s new Thai market. There will also be outdoor seating for 30.
The menu will remain mostly the same but some new seasonal dishes will be added to the offerings.

The dining room will be open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. Brunch will be served Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you want to get your Thai fix for lunch, Chabaa’s market can help. The market will prepare take out favorites such as Pad Thai, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Panang Curry and Fresh Thai Spring Rolls. The market will also feature packaged containers of popular items, including curries.
Other cooking essentials, including knifes, Asian herbs and other specialty ingredients, will be available for purchase. The market will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The new location also has a finished basement, which Moon plans to transform into a community space for cooking classes and other events.
In the meantime, Chef Moon will offer a special Chabaa menu at Yanako this fall while construction is underway.
