Citizens Bank kicks off Hunger Action Month by recognizing local partners in Eastern Pennsylvania
Hunger Action Month

PHILADELPHIA - Citizens Bank marked the start of Hunger Action Month by recognizing its local partners in the Greater Philadelphia region that are helping those in need as part of the bank’s year-round Citizens Helping Citizens Fight Hunger initiative.
“We are inspired by the incredible work these organizations do to combat food insecurity in Eastern Pennsylvania,” said Daniel K. Fitzpatrick, President, Citizens Bank, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. “Hunger Action Month serves as a call-to-action for all of us to continue to work towards ending hunger. We are proud to support these organizations, and hope that their work inspires others to join the fight against hunger.”
In the Greater Philadelphia region, three quarters of a million people are at risk for food insecurity each year, with children making up 30% of that figure. Citizens Bank is helping to reduce these statistics through collaborative programs with partners in the region.
