Coming Soon: Manayunk Restaurant Week in April

The annual celebration of local cuisine begins with the Spring StrEAT Food Festival on Main Street April 12.

Manayunk restaurants and vendors are busy preparing their best meals and finest ingredients for April’s restaurant week. The eagerly anticipated celebration kicks off with the annual Spring StrEAT Food Festival April 12, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Guests can browse along historic Main Street and take a taste of everything from savory BBQ to sweet desserts from more than 40 of Philadelphia’s best food trucks, purchase homemade oils, spices, and jams from the gourmet food vendors, and stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables at the farm stand. This year, dishes will highlight the spring ingredient, strawberries.

Main Street will be closed to traffic for the festival, allowing pedestrians full access to shop at other local businesses offering sidewalk sales and promotions. There will also be live music, a kid-friendly zone hosted by Destination Schuylkill River at Canal View Park, featuring a moon bounce, face painting, Twister, sidewalk chalk, and more. For visitors 21 and older, there will be a beer garden on Cotton Street with samples of some of the area’s best beer.
