Concert, Fireworks Among Weekend's 'Welcome America' Highlights

Philadelphia will be celebrating July 4 in a big way.

The Wawa Welcome America festival is underway in Philly and will feature a weekend of patriotic fun.

Event highlights include:

Friday, July 3

• Liberty Block Party, 5th & 6th Streets Between Market & Chestnut Streets
• The Philly POPS! to perform steps of Independence Hall, 6th & Chestnut Streets

Saturday, July 4

• Celebration of Freedom ceremony followed by Independence Day Parade
• America’s Birthday Party with Betsy Ross, Independence Visitor Center, 6th & Market Streets
• Party on the Parkway
• Philly 4th of July Jam and Grand Finale Fireworks starring The Roots, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Eakins Oval
