Eagles Fans Among The Drunkest In The NFL, Study Says

Do you agree?

Booing Santa Claus, throwing batteries at J.D. Drew, cheering when Michael Irving suffered a severe spinal injury: maybe these things would not have happened if Philadelphia sports fans were more sober.

A new study has singled out Eagles fans, particularly, as among the drunkest fans in the National Football League.

The study ranks Eagles fans as the third drunkest in the sport, trailing only the second place Detroit Lions and the “champion” fans of the Buffalo Bills.

Eagles fans average BAC of 0.069 percent tied the Lions and was just behind the Bills’ leading 0.076 percent BAC.

The Cincinnati Bengals had the lowest BAC in the league, at 0.015 percent.

A team’s record does not seem to impact their fanbase’s inebriation, the study concludes.

The start of the football season, however, increases drinking around the country, and increases BAC levels in Eagles fans by 49 percent.
