Through docent Sue Sauerman's lively anecdotal narrative, learn about the new exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art focusing on Van Gogh's most daring and innovative works. Made between 1886 and 1890 in Paris, Arles, Saint-Remy and Auvers, these paintings concentrate on important aspects of van Gogh's work: the manner in which he distorted space in order to focus on details/"close-ups" in the foreground of his pictures.
