The incidence of abuse is high--14% of adults 55+ have reported abuse and it is suspected that many more incidents go unreported.

Everyone is invited to this program to learn how to prevent and respond to abuse in any form.  A panel of experts from CARIE (The Coalition to Advocate for the Interests and Rights of the Elderly),  the Fifth Police District, Journey's Way Housing Counseling, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging Protective Services, and SeniorLAW Center will make presentations and take your questions.

You can also enjoy a light dinner and a jewelry/craft sale.

This program is targeted for people of all ages and especially adults 55+, families, friends and neighbors.

The Center at Journey's Way is pleased to present this program in partnership with the Center for the Empowerment of Women with assistance from Soroptimist International of Roxborough, PA.

An RSVP is necessary for dinner--please call 215-487-1750, by Friday June 22.
