Former Acting Apprentice Finds Continued Success at Walnut Street Theatre!
Alanna Smith, one of Walnut Street Theatre's former Acting Apprentices, is back on the stage in "Freckleface Strawberry The Musical!"
Alanna Smith was a member of the 2014-2015 Apprentice Class at the Walnut Street Theatre. During her time at the theatre, she appeared on the Mainstage in various WST for Kids series shows, including Fancy Nancy, and toured with the Walnut's Outreach Company, which brings educational entertainment to schools in the Delaware Valley.
Though her apprenticeship has since ended, Smith has continued to work at Walnut Street Theatre. Most recently, she was seen on the Mainstage in A Christmas Story, The Musical and now, she's ready to take on the roles of Ballet Girl and Francine Freckle in Freckleface Strawberry The MusicaI! Based on the book by Oscar-winner, Julianne Moore, this colorful musical teaches kids to be proud of who they are and to accept others for who they are, too!
