Founders Brewing Transforming Manayunk Into Winter Wonderland
The Founders Philly Freeze-Out will turn Main Street into a winter wonderland with ice carving, vendors, beer, and even a "Chowder Crawl."

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Main Street in Manayunk will be transformed into a winter wonderland on Jan. 26 for the Founders Philly Freeze-Out event.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Main Street Manayunk will feature ice carving demonstrations, an ice beer garden, a chowder contest, live music, and in-store shopping events.
Event attendees will be treated to a full day of winter fun with three activation areas to choose from.

Start your day at the corner of Main and Lock Streets with an ice carving of the Manayunk Bridge at 11 a.m.
Founders Brewing Company, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and Captain Morgan will all be on-hand to keep guests warm by the firepits while awaiting Jackson Howard’s set to start at 1 p.m.

Guests can make their way down to Main and Cotton Streets for Manayunk merchandise, a very "Manayunk" ice carving demonstration at 1 p.m., and live music from Stella Ruze starting at 2 p.m.
End your day at the ice beer garden at Canal View Park (4416 Main Street) where Founders Brewing Company will hand out samples of Solid Gold Premium Lager and host their own live ice carving to the sounds of a live DJ.
Guests are invited to take a sip of the first ever Chowder Crawl from noon to 3 p.m.
Ten restaurants will put their best spoons forward to compete for the chance at being crowned the chowder champ. Participating restaurants include Bourbon Blue, Lucky’s Last Chance, Winnie’s Manayunk, and The Couch Tomato. Registration is $10 online and $15 at the Manayunk.com booth (Main and Cotton Street) the day of the event.
After tasting all the chowders, you can vote for your favorite on the poll in the Facebook event online here or with a physical ballot to be returned to the Manayunk.com booth by 3 p.m.
For more family-friendly activities, head indoors to many of Manayunk’s retail shops for in-store activities, such as DIY personalized pint glass at Latitudes and Longitudes, build-your-own hot chocolate bar at Canteen Works, a Freeze-Out Selfie Stop at The Little Apple, hair demonstrations at Starshine Salon, and a snowball guessing contest at River City Outpost.
Founders Brewing Company will have a shuttle bus on-hand to take guests from Dawson StreetPub, all activations on Main Street, and up to Union Taphouse.
