Germantown Friends To Compete In Several Events At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The largest, oldest, and by many accounts, most prestigious track and field relay meet in the world begins in University City on Thursday, April 28.

The Penn Relays includes athletes from all over Pennsylvania, the eastern seaboard, the nation, and around the world.

It's one of the few competitions which features athletes from nearly every age group and level: from elementary school through high school, college through post collegiate and the Olympic level, and even Masters-level events.

The meet begins on Wednesday and continues through the weekend. For a full schedule of events, see here.

The Penn Relays, in its 121st running, is held at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

Athletes from schools around Montgomery and Chester counties will be competing in both relays and individual events. Local high school entries in seeded events are included below. The below list does not include the 4x100 or the 4x400 meter events.
