Good Pronunciation Will Get You a Free Burger Friday In Manayunk

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – If you're with pronunciation – especially pronouncing names with eastern-European origins – you could get yourself a free burger at SOMO Manayunk this Friday.
The first 50 people who can pronounce the name of the restaurant’s newest burger will be able to enjoy it for free in celebration of National Eat What You Want Day on Friday, May 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The burger's name? The Big Stryjewski, named after Chef Waldemar "Val" Stryjewski.

So do you think you can pronounce it?
The Big Stryjewski is an eight-ounce grass-fed beef burger topped with whiskey-glazed wild mushrooms, bacon, cheddar cheese, and black garlic mayo. Foie gras can even be added.

"I’m all about creating unique flavor combinations and The Big Stryjewski fits the bill to a tee,” said Stryjewski. "While burgers are not fat-free or calorie-free, our customers can try it for free on May 11 — if they can pronounce it!"
Stryjewski joined SOMO Hospitality Group in January and leads the kitchens at SOMO Manayunk and the soon-to-be-opened SOMO SoPhi located at 3101 S. 13th Street in South Philly.
SOMO is located at at 4311 Main Street in Manayunk.
