Head-On Lincoln Drive Crash Kills 1, Hurts 4 Others

The head-on crash happened early Thursday night on Lincoln Drive and left a 65-year-old man dead and others hurt, including a young girl.

PHILADELPHIA — A three-vehicle crash on Lincoln Drive led to one person's death and four other people being hurt, Philadelphia Police said,

The crash happened at about 9:19 p.m. Thursday on the 3300 block of Lincoln Drive.

According to authorities, a 1997 Toyota 4Runner heading north on Lincoln Drive crossed into the southbound lane.

There, it struck a 2026 Mercedes-Benz C-300 head-on before colliding with a third vehicle, a 2025 Nissan Rogue, police said.

The Toyota flipped multiple times, ejecting the driver onto the road before coming to rest, according to police. Medics pronounced the driver of the first vehicle dead at 9:25 p.m.

He was identified as Eric Sullivan, 65, of the 400 block of East Rittenhouse Street.

Police said the three people in the Mercedes — a 45-year-old male driver, a 36-year-old female passenger, and an 8-year-old female passenger — were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

The Nissan's driver was taken to Lankenau Hospital with unknown injuries.
