Help Create Union Taco's Newest Taco

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Do you think you have a great idea for a unique taco? Then Union Taco wants to hear about it, as it's holding a customer-driven contest to create the restaurant's next taco.

The taqueria is also offering special lobster roll tacos for the summer starting Friday, June 30.

To participate in the "Taco Me" initiative, Union Taco's customers can use the comment section on Union Taco’s Facebook page to request the menu's next taco, including all fillings and ingredients.

On July 17th, chef and owner Nick Farina and his team will choose their favorite creation, and name it after the winner.

"You always want to give the customer what they want, so we decided to let one of our customers design our next taco," Farina said. "They choose the protein and the ingredients, design it however they like, and then we will name it after them.

Also, in celebration of Independence Day weekend, Union Taco will be offering seasonal lobster roll tacos (pictured above) at both at both the Manayunk and Flourtown locations starting Friday, June 30.

Union Taco's Lobster Roll Taco cost $7 apiece and include chili butter-basted lobster, guacamole, lettuce and tomato on a soft flour tortilla. The special tacos will be available all summer.

"The first time I take a bite of lobster is the mark of when the summer begins," said Farina. “I love Maine lobster rolls, and our Lobster Roll Taco’s popularity last summer has me believing that area taco lovers feel the same way that I do about lobster.”

Union Taco is located at 4161 Main St., Manayunk, Philadelphia and at 1666 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown.
