Lyft Offering Free Rides Thanksgiving Eve In Philadelphia
To help cut down on impaired driving on one of the biggest drinking nights of the year, Lyft is offering a deal to get home cheap.
PHILADELPHIA – In an effort to limit driving under the influence, Lyft is offering free rides in Philadelphia on Thanksgiving eve.
The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving is often celebrated at bars and parties where many folks are drinking.
From 9 p.m. Nov. 21 to 2 a.m. Nov. 22, Lyft is offering free rides – up to a $10 discount – to Philadelphians.

"The night before Thanksgiving has become a popular night out, with so many people heading home for the holidays and meeting up at restaurants and bars," said Andrew Woolf, General Manager for Lyft Pennsylvania. "At Lyft, we want people to get around safely and we hope this Smart Ride program encourages responsible choices throughout the holiday season."
PennDOT reported that from 2012 to 2016, over 800 people died in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes during Thanksgiving weekend, making it the deadliest holiday on our roads.
Lyft Holiday Ride Smart program aims to combat the statistics and encourage responsible choices this season.
