Manayunk, PA -- The 4th of July is finally here. Will rain disrupt the Manayunk area's fireworks and parade plans?

It's possible. Showers are set to arrive in the afternoon and there is a 50 percent likelihood that they continue into the evening, according to Weather.com.

The high will be 84 and the low will be 64.

While Manayunk does not have its own fireworks celebration, the neighborhood is situated just down the river from the explosive display at the Philadelphia Art Museum on the 4th of July.

Fireworks will take place on three different occasions: on July 1 and July 2 at the Delaware River Waterfront, and on July 4 at 10 p.m. at the Art Museum.

Events will take place for a week leading up to the holiday, beginning on June 27 with free museum days, outdoor movies, and other cultural and historical free public programs.

The 4th of July "Party of the Parkway" will begin at noon and run until 10 p.m. Music, food, games, and other entertainment will take over Benjamin Franklin Parkway, which is closed to traffic.
