Manayunk Dad Whose Baby Needed Narcan To Be Tried
Steven Welsh is facing charges after his daughter allegedly rolled onto a needle while in bed, requiring a dose of Narcan to be revived.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – The father whose baby needed Narcan to be revived after allegedly accidentally rolling onto a needle will face a trial, but a date is yet to be set.
Steven Welsh, 35, of Manayunk, will head to trial on charges of aggravated assault with the victim being younger than 13 and the defendant being older than 18; endangering the welfare of a child with a parent or guardian committing the offense; simple assault with the victim under 12 years old and defendant 18 years or older; and recklessly endangering another person.
A pre-trial conference has been set for Nov. 21, but a trial date is to be determined.

Welsh was charged after a July 5 incident at his Manayunk home where his 9-month-old daughter allegedly rolled onto a hypodermic needle and needed opioid-overdose reversing medication to be revived.
Welsh remains jailed on 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
