Manayunk, Roxborough Have 'Coolest Ice Cream Shops:' Philly Mag

ROXBOROUGH-MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – It's not technically summer yet (we've got about a month to go until we can officially welcome it), but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy summer fun and treats, most notably ice cream. And two Manayunk and Roxborough ice cream shops were recently listed among the best in the Philly area.

Philadelphia Magazine crafted a list of the "Coolest Ice Cream Shops In Philadelphia," and Manayunk's Tubby Robot and Roxborough's C&C Creamery were included.

Here's what Philly Mag says about Tubby Robot:

A Best of Philly winner, Tubby Robot makes all their flavors in-house, using locally sourced ingredients. Even better? You can order up ice cream flights, sundaes, waffles, and even an ice cream hoagie — that’s scoops sandwiched inside a fresh-baked puff pastry "roll."

And for C&C Creamery:

This seasonal spot on Ridge Avenue has been serving up frozen treats and baked sweets for several decades. Head there for house-made water ice, soft serve, shakes, and malts.

C&C is located at 5461 Ridge Ave. and Tubby Robot is at 4369 Main St.
