Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for this rain or shine event, giving visitors of all ages an opportunity to stroll through this historic neighborhood and indulge in some of the finest food truck cuisine in the area.

From savory tacos and pizza to sweet ice cream and cannolis, this festival has something for everyone to eat. Vendors who create a berry dish will participate in a contest where three of the area’s foodies will be judging.

In addition to food trucks, visitors can enjoy live music playing throughout the festival at Shurs Lane and Green Lane. The day’s performance schedule is listed below.

Attendees can take a break from the festival and stop into Manayunk’s wide variety of shops and restaurants, walk on the towpath along the canal, and explore the Manayunk Bridge to soak in a scenic view of the neighborhood.

Aside from driving to Main Street, event coordinators encourage attendees to consider other forms of transportation like SEPTA, taxis, Uber, Lyft, and riding or walking to Manayunk via the Circuit Trails.

“The food truck scene is constantly evolving, and Manayunk is always excited to be the first to
showcase the latest and greatest each spring at the StrEAT Food Festival,” Jane Lipton,
Executive Director of the Manayunk Development Corporation, said. “The neighborhood is
bustling with resident families and visitors who all come to Main Street to try the tasty food the tri-state area has to offer.”

“We’re also excited to showcase our great restaurants during the Spring Restaurant Week,”
Lipton added. “Like the food trucks, our restaurants will be featuring berries in their dishes to
welcome this new, fresh season. Our restaurants really get creative with their dishes, like the
blackened Victoria perch with mixed berry salsa at Bourbon Blue, the braised short ribs with
blackberry barbecue sauce at Ryan’s Pub, and the raspberry coconut cake at Taqueria Feliz.”

Manayunk Restaurant Week allows local restaurants to highlight exclusive three course meals at $15, $25, and $35 price points.

Many of the participating restaurants use Restaurant Week to showcase their spring menus and other seasonal dishes.
