Manayunk's Beloved Ugly Moose to Shut Down
The Ugly Moose restaurant, one of Manayunk's iconic locations, has announced it will shut down.
MANAYUNK, PA -- The Ugly Moose restaurant, one of Manayunk's iconic locations, has announced it will shut down.
Owner J.P. Boles said that the restaurant will have a final fundraising dinner on New Years Eve. Some of the proceeds will go to the FOP Lodge #5 Police Survivor Fund.
The Ugly Moose was named among "Top 10 Irish Restaurants" nationwide by USA Today in 2009.

“I always enjoyed the nice comments from patrons about the atmosphere and good food. It’s been a great run," Boles said.
The Ugly Moose is located at 443 Shurs Lane.
