Manayunk's Gigi Italian Bistro Relocating And Expanding
Maya.J will be closing to accommodate the move, but the owners hope to reopen in Center City.

The Gigi Italian Bistro, one of Manayunk's newest BYOB eateries, opened its doors on 4357 Main Street in downtown Manayunk back in August 2016.
But after a few months of gaining popularity and regular customers, the bistro is relocating and expanding as of March 8.
Luckily, the relocation is only a few doors down, as it will fill the space at 4351 Main Street formerly held by Maya.J Restaurant.

The old location for Gigi's will be used for private events as the new location will be used for general dining.
The menu will be expanding and a bar will be added in the relocation-expansion plans, as the Maya.J location has a bar.

"We will be serving the Original Gigi Menu along with an Italian Mediterranean Tapas Menu as well," owner Craig and Jaqi Wilson said on Facebook.
The owners said despite adding a bar to Gigi, they will still be a BYOB restaurant so you can sip on your favorite libations while you dine.
While excitement over the new plans shined through on Facebook, some users were saddened to see Maya.J, also owned by the Wilsons, closing.
But according to Philly.com, the Wilsons hope to relocate Maya.J to center city.
