Manayunk's North Light Community Center Offers After School Programs

MANAYUNK -- North Light Community Center’s KidZone Afterschool program, with a Keystone Stars 2 rating, has begun registering children ages 5-12. The program offers transportation from area schools to the center, quality child care, daily nutritious snacks, and planned activities including arts and crafts, music, sports and field trips. Time is set aside Monday through Thursday for homework in small groups with freshmen from Villanova University providing assistance.

KidZone runs weekdays from school dismissal time to 6:00pm, with accommodations when the school day is irregular: parent-teacher conferences, half days and for school closings. A half-day is $19 and a full-day is $38. As with all the programs at North Light, the fees are on a sliding scale. Flexible enrollment is available as needed. North Light Community Center is a multi-service, community based non-profit organization located at 175 Green Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19127.
