McMichael Park Turtle Prints at the East Falls Flea Market
Spotlight on Friends of McMichael Park Volunteer and artist, Alison Chapman

Old and young. Creative and contemplative. Athletes, gardeners, and tree tenders: The Friends of McMichael Park are a blend of many, many talented people.
Today, we spotlight Alison Chapman. An East Falls resident with her son, husband and dog. She paints and draws whenever she has time to herself, mostly with watercolor, pen and ink, inspired by the marriage of nature and city life unique to East Falls. Her artistic pursuits while, in her words, unprofessional, are inspired—prints of her work can be found and purchased at the East Falls Farmers Market, or directly from her—you can email her at alisonleechapmanart@gmail.com or find her on Instagram @alisonleechapman. You can find her walking around the neighborhood or playing at McMichael Park with her son and dog almost every day of the week. The Chapman Children's Tree was recently planted in McMichael Park on LYP/2018. Alison grew this Serviceberry in a pot at her home for a few years and then donated it to "our" McMichael Park. "The kids helped me plant it, and I was instrumental in a 6 yr old using a hammer for the first time." said Alison. "Every week is Love Your Park week."
This Saturday, June 9th, Alison will be vending at the East Falls Flea Market along McMichael Street with her husband Christopher. They are regular vendors at the East Falls Farmers Market and will be with the Farmers’ Market group, from 9AM to 5PM. They’re looking forward to meeting you!
