Police: 4 Dec. Gay Street Thefts Reported
The following arrest information was supplied by the Philadelphia Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following are police accounts from the from Dec. 9 to 17. In that time period, 13 thefts were reported—including four on Gay Street and two on Sheldon Street.
Theft... Between 12 p.m. Dec. 12 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 14, a car parked in the 4700 block of Sheldon Street was entered, police said, adding that $560 was taken from the vehicle.
Burglary... A resident of the 7900 block of Ridge Avenue contacted police Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. after seeing a man attempting to enter his basement, police said, adding that entry was not gained and nothing was missing.
Theft... A car parked in the 800 block of Autumn River Run was entered between 7 p.m. Dec. 13 and 7 a.m. Dec. 14, police said, adding that an iPod, a pair of prescription sunglasses and a glass case, totaling $322, were taken.
Burglary... A home in the 300 block of Dupont Street was forcibly entered between 7 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 15, police said, adding that the residence was ransacked but nothing appeared missing.
Theft... A man attempted to steal 21 cans of Febreeze and 14 packs of Airwick from , 6138 Ridge Ave., Dec. 15 at 6 p.m., police said, adding that when confronted he returned some items then fled southbound on Ridge Avenue.
Burglary... A home in the 7500 block of Valley Road was entered between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 15, police said, adding that a basement door may have been unlocked. Nearly $3,000 worth of items, including cash, jewelry, a laptop, Playstation and DVD player, were taken, police said.
Theft... The window of a car parked in the 800 block of Autumn River Run was shattered between midnight Dec. 11 and 2 p.m. Dec. 15, police said, adding that a $200 navigation system was taken.
Robbery... On Dec. 16 at 6:45 p.m. a Fleming Street resident was walking in the 400 block of Fountain Street when he was punched in the face by a man who stole $250 from him, police said. The man continued to punch him until he fell and then began kicking him, police said, adding that he fled the scene but was apprehended in the 200 block of Fountain Street and arrested.
Theft... A unlocked car parked in the 8500 block of Lykens Lane was entered Dec. 16 between 4 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., police said, adding that a vehicle registration card and mail was taken.
Theft... On Dec. 17 it was reported that a man stole $40 worth of assorted items from , 6101 Ridge Ave., police said.
Theft... The window of a car parked 4100 block of Churchview Street was smashed Dec. 17 and a $120 navigation system was stolen, police said.
Theft... The window of a car parked in the 4700 block of Fowler Street was smashed between 8 and 10 p.m. Dec. 17, police said, adding that a leather duffle bag, worth $50, was taken.
Theft... A car parked in the 100 block of Gay Street was entered between 2 a.m. and noon Dec. 10, police said, adding that a navigation system and a wallet containing credit cards and various identification cards were taken.
Theft... A car parked in the 200 block of Gay Street was entered between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 7:15 a.m. Dec. 10, police said, adding that a change purse, suitcase, gym clothes and an iPod were taken
Theft... A car parked in the 100 block of Gay Street was entered between 2 a.m. and noon Dec. 10, police said, adding that a navigation system and a wallet containing $60 cash and various credit and identification cards were stolen.

Theft... An unlocked car parked in the 200 block of Gay Street was entered between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 7:15 a.m. Dec. 10, police said, adding that an Ipod, gym clothes, a red suitcase and change purse were taken.
Theft... Between 12 p.m. Dec. 12 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 14, a car parked in the 4700 block of Sheldon Street was entered and $560 was taken, police said.
