This Roxborough Ice Cream Shop Is Among Philly's Best: Eater

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — In case you haven't seen the forecast, it's going to get hot in Philadelphia.

And with sweltering temperatures looming, many people will be looking for a tasty way to cool off.

Luckily for those in the Roxborough area, one of the city's best ice cream shops is in your neighborhood.

Eater Philly documented the "Best Ice Cream in Philly" in a new list.

Among the spots featured is C&C Creamery in Roxborough.

Roxborough residents know it well, but any fan of cones piled high with sweet scoops should make it to C&C Creamery. The family-owned stand has been around since 1955 and makes everything on-site, going way beyond custard to sell hard ice cream, ice cream cakes, water ice, and soft pretzels. As a bonus, they serve Dole whips and pup cups of vanilla soft serve with a biscuit on the side.
