Roxborough School Touts Impressive High School Acceptance Rate

Students at Shawmont Elementary School are showing their prowess. The school recently announced that nearly all of its 8th graders made it to their top choice of high school.

The school said 96 percent of its 2017 eighth grade class got admission to their top high school choice.

High Schools that offered admission to Shawmont’s class include competitive admission high schools such as, Science Leadership Academy (SLA), Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), Saul High School, the Academies at Roxborough High, Girls High, Academy at Palumbo, and Central High School, the school said in a statement.

With an admission rate of nearly 100 percent, we sat congratulations to the budding high schoolers and Shawmont faculty and staff.
