Roxtoberfest 2019: What You Need To Know

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — On Oct. 5, Ridge Avenue in Roxborough will transform into a German wonderland for the 2019 installment of Roxtoberfest.

The event will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 on Ridge Avenue between Lyceum Avenue and Leverington Avenue in Roxborough.

Festival-goers can expect food, games, activities, vendors, and of course beer.

Performances by Polkadelphia, Ralph Salerno, and G.T.V Almrausch Schuhplattler Alpine Folk Dancers will keep attendees in high spirits as they enjoy the festival's offerings.

This year, there will be two steinholding competitions. Participants must be at least 21 years old. Competitions start at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Roxtoberfest Main Stage. Learn more about the competition and sign up for it online here.

The family fun zone will feature a 40-foot inflatable obstacle course, a bounce house, a tumbler ride, balloon animals, and carnival games.
