Shawmont School honored by Philadelphia Home and School Council

The Philadelphia Home and School Council has honored Principal McGrogan of Shawmont School with the distinguished 2018 Principal Partnership Award! The award is bestowed in recognition of Principal McGrogan's continued work to not only support the Shawmont Home and School, but its parents, staff, and students. In this first year as Shawmont's principal, Mr. McGrogan's leadership is palpable. He has attended every Home and School meeting, logs long, long hours at the School, and has championed the causes important to the students and families at Shawmont School. In addition, his wisdom and experience has brought tremendous resources to Shawmont School, including new curtains for the auditorium and 19 SMART Interactive boards to upgrade those in the classrooms. The Philadelphia Home and School Council is dedicated to empowering, educating, motivating and engaging parents and caregivers so that students are the benefactors of a equitable quality education. In addition to honoring Mr. McGrogan, PHSC also awarded Shawmont Home & School with 2018 Shining Star award.
