Six Men Jump Two Victims In Manayunk: Cops

Six college-aged men attacked two other men in Manayunk around midnight one recent night.

MANAYUNK -- A group of six college aged men attacked two other men in Manayunk at midnight on March 18, police said.

The group of men began the assault by pushing and hitting one of the men on the 4300 block of Silverwood Street, according to police.

When the friend attempted to intervene, they turned the beating on him, police said.

The second friend received a broken ankle and a swollen eye, police said.

The suspects are believed to have fled a scene and entered a "safe house" on the 200 block of Tower Street, according to police.

It's unclear what the cause of the disagreement was.

No arrests have been made.
