SOMO Hosting Weekly Manayunk Development Corporation Fundraiser

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – SOMO in Manayunk is gearing up for some special offerings it will debut next week, and one of those offerings will help out the folks at the Manayunk Development Corporation (MDC).

SOMO is rolling out a Monday night special event called "Beer & Bacon Bonanza," as well as a Tuesday night event where customers can get pay-what-you-want specials with proceeds benefiting the MDC.

On Mondays from 4 p.m. to midnight, SOMO will offer complimentary bacon to all guests, and customers are welcome to add bacon to any menu item free of charge

In addition to the bacon offering, SOMO will offer half-priced drafts for all of the restaurant’s rotating 24 craft beers on tap.

On Tuesdays you can get specials at a price of your choosing while supporting the MDC. Those specials include the SOMO Stack Burger; Roasted Garlic Hummus; Ale Braised Mussels; Shrimp and Grits; and the new FOMO Cheesesteak.

"The Manayunk community has been incredibly supportive since we opened last March," SOMO owner James Morrissey said. "We see a lot of restaurant industry folks and neighbors during the early part of the week, and we designed these specials to give back to them and benefit the Manayunk Development Corporation, which creates programming and marketing that positively impacts the community. These new features are a win-win for both our guests and the marketing arm that creates the a multitude of community events, and energizes Manayunk, which is unquestionably one of the most unique and fun neighborhoods in the Philadelphia region."

SOMO is located at 4311 Main Street in Manayunk.
