Union Taco Hosting 'Day Of The Dead' Specials Wednesday, Thursday

MANAYUNK, PA – The Mexican holiday Day of the Dead is upon us. The multi-day celebration centers around praying for friends and family who have died to support their journey in the afterlife. And food is a major part of the celebration.

Union Taco wants to help provide food during Day of the Dead celebrations and is offering specials for two days of the holiday.

On Wednesday, Nov. 1 and Thursday, Nov. 2, Union Taco will be offering $2 beef or veggie tacos, buy one get one free burritos, and a “South-of-the-Border” Citywide Special all day on both days the Manayunk Union Taco.

From 11:30 a.m. through midnight Thursday night, all beef or veggie tacos will be only $2 apiece and all burritos will be offered as buy one get one free to all customers.

Complimentary face painting will also be available to all guests, and anyone 21-and-older can take advantage of Union Taco's Citywide Special.

Union Taco Chef Nick Farina will also add ghost pepper hot sauce to any taco or burrito, free of charge both days, for those who dare to experience the hottest pepper in the world.

Face painting will also be available to all guests at no charge on Wednesday.

"We designed our restaurant and decorations around Day of the Dead, so it only makes sense that we celebrate this every year with some really good specials and fun activities like face painting," Farina said. "It's one of the bigger holidays at Union Taco, and we are excited to celebrate it with our guests. We do encourage spicy food lovers to add ghost peppers to their tacos and burritos, but only at their own risk."
