UPenn Among Four Pa. Universities Ranked In The Top 100 Globally
What are the best universities in Pennsylvania - and around the world?

The University of Pennsylvania has been named one of the best schools in the state, region, country, and around the globe by U.S. News and World report in their latest international ranking.
The second annual rankings encompass the top 750 institutions spread out across 57 countries — an increase from the top 500 universities in 49 countries ranked last year. The rankings were produced to provide insight into how universities in and out of the United States compare with each other.
The University of Pennsylvania came in at 14th overall, trailing Harvard (1), Columbia (9), and Princeton (13) in the Ivy League. Joining Penn in a tie for 14th was another Ivy rival, Yale.

They were ranked 12th globally in regional research reputation, and 14th in publications.
Joining Penn on the list from across Pennsylvania was the University of Pittsburgh in 47th, Penn State University at 57th, and Carnegie Mellon in 71st.

Penn State edged out archrival Rutgers University (60th) by three spots.
