Welcome The Holiday Season In Manayunk On Small Business Saturday

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Manayunk and surrounding area residents are invited to welcome the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony on Small Business Saturday.

Manayunk stores will open as early as 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24 as part of Small Business Saturday to encourage shopping locally.

Businesses will be offering deals and discounts for the day of shopping in Manayunk.

Then at 5:30 p.m., the Manayunk Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at Canal View Park.

A 35-foot tree will be lit at 6 p.m. with notable Philly names in attendance.

Philadelphia Councilman Curtis Jones, State Rep. Pam Delissio, various Manayunk businesses, and of course Santa Claus will be on hand at the ceremony.

Warm up with hot chocolate, a sing-a-long with Santa Claus, and see performances by Merge Dance Studio, and the Delaware Valley Opera Company.
