Wissahickon Valley Watershed Announces New Institutional Director

WISSAHICKON -- The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association (WVWA) has announced a new director of institutional advancement.

Laurie J. Grant has more than 25 years in philanthropic development in a leadership role, the WVWA said.

“Her strategic thinking, marketing and proven track record in fundraising and senior management experience poises the WVWA to meet the challenges of growing and diversifying our varied audiences and stakeholders for the future,” they said in a statement on Facebook .

Grant will manage WVWA’s Institutional Advancment team, which includes the full spectrum of fundraising, membership, communications and event planning.

The Association added that Grant is an “avid nature lover” and has spent much of her life exploring nature both on land and in the ocean in the Caribbean, including travels to Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico and beyond.

WVWA is a non-profit land trust founded in 1957 to protect the quality and beauty of the Wissahickon Creek.
