ā¢ Repairs underway on a Sewickley Heights road that's been closed for more than 2 years (triblive.com) ā Backbone Road between Sewickley Heights and Bell Acres is finally under major repair after landslides kept it closed for more than two years, disrupting access from Sewickley and nearby communities. Crews are stabilizing the hillside, rebuilding the roadway, and improving guardrails, with work expected to last about 20 days and temporary lane restrictions on Little Sewickley Creek Road.

ā¢ Soccer Recap: Sewickley Academy Adds Another Dominant Win to Their Ledger (maxpreps.com subscription) ā Sewickley Academy's soccer team is off to a dominant 4-0 start, having outscored opponents by at least three goals in every match and just blanking South Side 13-0. Local fans can catch their next home test when Deer Lakes visits on Saturday at noon, as the Panthers try to keep their perfect season rolling.
