has a new business manager who will assume his new position April 24.

Eric Brandenburg, currently the director of business affairs for the Armstrong School District, was hired last month. He succeeds Gwen Walker, who served as business manager for the Keystone Oaks School District for 17 years.

Locals may know Brandenburg as the treasurer of the men's club at Saints John and Paul Parish in Franklin Park.

“I’ve been in touch with him and he’s very anxious to get started,” acting Superintendent Kathy Foster said.

Prior to working in the Armstrong School District, Brandenburg served as business manager in the Blackhawk, Avella Area and Southeastern Greene school districts. Before his transition to school finance, Brandenburg spent seven years working in accounting for the DeBartolo Corp. and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He has signed a five-year contract with the Keystone Oaks School District that begins in April. His salary is $96,000.
