Nearby: North Hills School District Names New Communications Coordinator

Amanda S.F. Hartle will start in her new job July 25.

After losing their last communications coordinator to , North Hills School District has appointed someone new to fill the position.

Amanda S.F. Hartle was appointed on July 2 and brings more than six years of communications and media experience. She is currently the director of communications at North Hills Community Outreach.

“Now more than ever before as public education faces unparalleled challenges, communications continues to be a vital necessity in our school district," said North Hills Superintendent Patrick J. Mannarino. "Amanda brings a wealth of media and communications knowledge that we need to further the mission of the North Hills School District. She will enhance our communications strategies to be a school district of choice in Pennsylvania.”

At North Hills Community Outreach, Hartle launched an updated and user-friendly website and increased the organization’s social media presence.

Prior to working in the non-profit sector, she served as public relations officer for Moon Area School District, where she resurrected a communications department that had been defunct for more than a decade. Additionally, Hartle served as a staff writer with Gateway Newspapers, a division of Trib Total Media.

Hartle also writes for the PSBA Bulletin, the Pennsylvania School Board Association’s magazine, and volunteers as a media and communications consultant for the Remi Savioz Glut 1 Foundation. She has also been a contributing writer for Patch.

Hartle has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and she resides in Hampton Township.

She assumes the position vacated by former communications coordinator,

Hartle’s start date is slated for July 25. Her starting salary will be $55,900.
