Quaker Valley Varsity Hockey Team to Play in Outdoor PIHL Charity Game
The charity game takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 at South Park. Donations for this game are going to the UPMC Brain Cancer Research in honor of Dave "Ziggy" Zeigler.

has been honored by the league again this year and selected to play in a Winter Charity Classic of sorts!
The team will play at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 in the PIHL charity outdoor game and will face Westmont Hilltop at the South Park outdoor rink.
For ease of student purchase, tickets are being sold this week at the as well as through the Varsity Team Manager, Beth Ann Mohr.

Pre-game cost is $5 which increases to $7 on game day. Tickets will be available to purchase at the Quaker Valley High School through Katie Martin, junior.
All donations for this game are going to the UPMC Brain Cancer Research in honor of Dave "Ziggy" Zeigler. Zeigler owned a pro shop and always found a way to outfit youth hockey players who could not afford the necessary equipment. He died in 2010 of brain cancer, four months after his diagnosis.

Sales from T-shirts, tickets for the game and numerous bake sales are going directly to this wonderful charity. Cash and check payments (made payable to QVHA) are being accepted.
Come weather the elements and enjoy some good old fashioned outdoor hockey -- all for charity!
The Quaker Valley Hockey team is enjoying a successful season thus far with a 8-1 League record, 10-2-1 overall.
