School Board Awards Technology Contract for Middle School

Quaker Valley School Board on Tuesday awarded a grant totaling $1,929,600 to Horizon Technologies for the upgrade of technology in the .

The technology award reflects a savings of $74,500 from the bids the district received earlier this month, according to a statement from the .

The board decided to rebid the technology component of the project at a July 6 meeting in order to redefine and clarify specifications.

At the same meeting, the board approved seven other construction contracts totaling $21.3 million for the middle school renovations.

Construction at the middle school is scheduled to start next week.
