10 Ways to Connect with Springfield School District

Tuesday is the first day of school for all institutions here. The district recommends the following ways to stay informed and connect this school year.

Tuesday is the first day back for students of all five institutions in , serving Springfield and Morton area students. The district recommends the following ways to stay informed and connect this school year.

  • Frequently visit www.ssdcougars.org to stay abreast with school news and information.
  • Watch Springfield Educational Television (SET) on Comcast-Xfinity channel 11, Verizon FiOS channel 29 and RNC channel 51.
  • Check out the district newsletter, “Cougar Community Corner,” online and in the mail.
  • Attend , which are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month at in the district boardroom.
  • Go to the annual held the first day of school each year. This year the picnic takes place Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. in the Springfield High School Stadium Courtyard. The marching band will perform in the stadium at 5:30 p.m.  
  • Attend a superintendent’s luncheon, held twice yearly.
  • Attend a Curriculum Committee meeting held the second Thursday of each month before the School Board meeting.
  • Sign up for an email or text messaging subscription group on the district’s website.
  • Get a school district calendar from the Home & School Associations or check out the calendar on the district website.
  • Call the district office with a particular question or concern at 610-938-6000.
