3 Pounds Of Meth, Cocaine, $21K Found At Delco Man's Home: DA

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County man is facing drugs charges after authorities say they found about three pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia at his home.

District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland said Jack Bailey, 41, of Esstington, has been charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, ungraded felonies, and related offenses.

The arrest and charged stem from investigation that resulted in the seizure of over $21,000 in cash, 1,342 grams (about 2.95 pounds) of methamphetamine, 177 grams of cocaine, and drug trafficking paraphernalia from Bailey's residence on the 200 block of Warwick Avenue in Essington.

Bailey's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11.

On June 20, Ridley Township Detective Jerry Scanlan and Lieutenant John Hamill, along with other members of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office CID Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at Bailey’s residence.

In the master bedroom, authorities said they found $21,639 in cash, a ledger noting drug sales and monies owed, and a key to a secure area in the basement of the apartment building.

With the assistance of Chester Police Officer John Murphy and his K9 partner Chase, officers located controlled substances in Bailey’s secured area of the apartment building, the DA's office said.

According to the DA's office, detectives seized two plastic bags each with about one pound of crystal methamphetamine each in them, a large PVC pipe with end caps that had three digital scales, new plastic bags used to package drugs for street sales, a cutting agent used to dilute controlled substances to increase the sellers profit, roughly 347 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 45 grams of cocaine packaged in 61 plastic bags.

In total, detectives seized 1342 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 177 grams of cocaine.
