38 Pounds Of Marijuana, Shotgun, Meth Seized In Delco Drug Bust

RIDLEY, PA — An undercover drug investigation in Delaware County resulted in the seizure of nearly 40 pounds of marijuana, methamphetamine, and nearly 100 various prescription pills, authorities said.

District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer Thursday announced the arrest of John Blythe-McNally,
27, of Holmes.

Blythe-McNally arrest is the result of a month-long undercover investigation into drug trafficking by the Delaware County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Ridley Township and Chester Police Departments.

Blythe-McNally has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has also been charged with felony firearm crimes as he pleaded guilty to felony charges in 2012.

On Wednesday, authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Ridley Township and arrested Blythe-McNally, who authorities said had a substantial quantity of drugs, a shotgun, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities found a 12 gauge Mossberg pistol grip shotgun, about 38 pounds of marijuana, 65 grams of methamphetamine, 39 oxycodone pills, 24 Adderall pills, 29 alprazolam pills, $1,742.00 in cash, a THC Press, cutting agent for the methamphetamine, and digital scales and drug paraphernalia.

Blythe-McNally was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $500,000. He was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.
