Aggravated Assault, Theft, Vandalism, More: Springfield Crime Blotter
A Philadelphia man was charged with aggravated assault and more after police said he was inappropriately touching females at Urban Air.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 13 and Feb. 18.

Feb. 13 at 8:33 a.m.
Student Transportation of Pennsylvania reported six fire extinguishers were taken from buses at the transportation yard on Eagle Road and used to spray and damage the inside of numerous buses. Investigation showed numerous juveniles entered the secured property from the creek area and threw the empty extinguishers into the creek as they left. Det. Nutley is investigating.
Feb. 13 at 9:34 a.m.
A female who parked on the unit block of South Brookside Road reported sometime overnight someone slashed a tire on her vehicle.

Feb. 15 at 3:01 p.m.
Officers responded to Target at the mall for a report that two females had stolen a large amount of health and beauty products and left the store. Officers located the two in the rear parking lot and recovered over $3,400 worth of merchandise. Both were taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. Adina Poenaru, 22, of Maryland was held for arraignment. The other female was found to be a juvenile from Owing Mill, Maryland, and released to her mother.
Feb. 17 at 3:05 p.m.
Officers responded to the Target, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, for a report that a male was stealing a vacuum. The male was stopped and taken into custody by security. The male had selected two vacuums and placed them in a cart and pushed the cart out the main entrance without paying. The male was found to have also been involved in prior vacuum thefts from Target. The male was identified as Michael Iovanisci, 50, of Philadelphia, and found to have an active arrest warrant from Haverford Township. He was turned over to Haverford Police and was charged with Retail Theft.
Feb. 18 at 12:43 a.m.
A resident of the 800 block Grove Avenue reported that sometime between 9:45 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., someone damaged the lattice fence, causing the slats to fall out.
Feb. 18 at 7:09 p.m.
Officers responded to the Urban Air, 1200 block of East Woodland Avenue, for a report of a male subject who was inappropriately touching females and refusing to leave the business. Officers made contact with the male inside and found him to be intoxicated. It was learned that he had spoken to and touched multiple juvenile females while on one of the rides. The male was escorted outside and told to leave. He refused and fought with officers before being taken into custody. Miguel Roman 29, of Philadelphia, was charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Public Drunkenness and held for arraignment. He was later transported to Delaware County Prison.
