Take 2 Consignment Sale Coming Soon

The Take 2 Consignment Sale is run by Kathleen Cooper and Kim Hoban, who have been friends since grade school.

Kathleen has two chidren and Kim has four. Both reside in Haverford Township with families. 

"We decided to start our business based on our experiences with consigning at sales throughout the area," Hoban told Patch.

"We have gotten great advice from other consignment sales and sellers along the way, and really appreciate the value of gently used children's clothes, toys, shoes, coats, books, equipment, etc - especially in this economy.

"Our customers are getting good products and prices, and our sellers in turn are getting some additional income from these items. Additionally, at the end of the sale each of our consignors has the opportunity to donate unsold items to charities who need gently used children's items. It has been nice to be a part of that aspect. At our fall sale, we were able to make donations to two local charities who were in great need, and we plan to continue with future sales.  

"Consignment sales also help families stay within budgets. Our customers are able to purchase name brand children's clothing and baby clothing and gear for up to 80 percent less than normal retail price."   

The spring sale will held on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24 at in Springfield, and over 40 consignors are expected. The day will be filled with raffles, prizes, and most importantly great deals!

At the , consignors receive up to 70 percent of their total sales, and there are even opportunities for those who are only interested in selling their items but do not have time to prepare their items for sale or to work at the sale.
