• H.S. Football: Delaney, Springfield dominate Ridley in battle of unbeatens (delcotimes.com) — Springfield High's football team stayed undefeated Friday with a dominant 20-0 shutout of Ridley, powered by a stifling defense and big plays from receiver/defensive back Finn Delaney. The Cougars, now 6-0, remain atop the Central League and will host Radnor next week, with a huge home showdown against Strath Haven in Springfield looming on Oct. 30.
   

• World premiere of Delco Vietnam vet documentary Saturday (delcotimes.com) — Delaware County Vietnam veterans, including retired Springfield police chief Joseph Daly, are featured in a new documentary, "9000 Miles to Delco," premiering Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Park in Aston. Additional screenings are planned in November at the Media Theatre and in Marcus Hook, giving Springfield-area residents several chances to hear local veterans' stories in their own words.
