Armed Robber Steals Pills On Election Day: Springfield Police

The man held up a CVS Pharmacy early Tuesday afternoon and made off with numerous pill containers, police said. Do you recognize him?

SPRINGFIELD, PA – An armed robber stole numerous bottles of pills from a Springfield Township pharmacy on election day, according to police. Authorities are now asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

Police said the incident occurred at about 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the CVS Pharmacy located at Baltimore Pike and Norwinden Drive in Springfield Township.

A black man entered the store pushing a stroller at that time, police said.

The man approached the pharmacy counter and handed over a note saying he was armed and wanted all the Oxycodone pills in the pharmacy.

The man also showed a handgun in his right hand. The gun appeared to have duct tape on it, police said.

He then went into the pharmacy area where an employee handed over numerous pill containers, police said.

He fled the store on foot and was last seen getting into a four-door vehicle, possibly a brown Dodge Neon with driver side damage, police said.

The stroller he was pushing was left behind, as well as the demand note, police said.
