BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE

Spring will be here. I know that is hard to believe with the holidays and questionable winter weather in between.

If you are at all thinking of buying or selling in the first quarter of next year, it’s best to try to get your thoughts and actions into motion.

As a buyer if you are in good standing credit wise and know that you can compete when the houses hit the market, then you are fortunate and should be able to get pre-approved easily. If you are not sure than you have a little work to do to find out.

As a seller if your property is in marketable condition with little or no work then you too are in good shape. However, if you know there is work to be done, the winter is a good time to get those projects completed.

The more prepared you are whether you are a seller or buyer, the easier it is for you to seize the market and be competitive.

I anticipate this upcoming Spring market will be much like the past where there are multiple offers on the well maintained, appropriately priced and well staged properties.

ON THE OTHER HAND, PLEASE DO NOT THINK PUTTING YOUR HOUSE UP FOR SALE IN THE WINTER IS NOT WISE. THE MOST SERIOUS BUYERS ARE LOOKING AT THAT TIME. YOU CAN SELL YOUR HOME IN THE WINTER.
