Bank Robbed Friday In Springfield: Police

SPRINGFIELD, PA – A bank in Springfield Township was robbed Friday, according to police, and authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
According to Springfield Township Police, the robbery occurred at about 12:38 p.m. Friday June 2 at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 888 Baltimore Pike.
The suspect entered the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money and stating he had a gun, police said.

After getting a small amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank and was seen running toward the Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot where he got into a light blue or silver hatchback, police said.
The vehicle was last seen leaving the parking lot toward East Woodland Drive/state Route 420, police said.

The suspect is described as white male between 6-feet and 6-feet 2-inches tall with a thin build who was wearing black sunglasses, a gray baseball hat, a white t-shirt, a gray zip up hoodie, blue jeans, and tan work boots, police said.
