Cookie Love Is Recipe For Business Success

A Springfield entrepreneur turns creativity and innovation into a delicious business called Cookies By Diane.

Diane Marinelli transformed her talent for baking and love of cookies into a successful business which is now marking its 12th year in Springfield.

Marinelli's love of baking started as a child when she would whip up creations in her Easy Bake Oven while watching Florence Hanford and Julia Child work their magic on television.

While Martinelli's career took a detour in nursing, with a degree from Temple University, she continued to share her love of baking with family and friends and through volunteering at the community center.

"I am committed to using only the freshest, highest quality ingredients, no preservatives, and as much eco friendly packaging as possible," said Marinelli.

Cookies By Diane has made more than one million cookies since its founding. They offer 10 signature gourmet cookie varieties with additional seasonal flavors like pumpkin pecan crunch for autumn and coconut cream for Easter.

Colossal Cookies

New for this fall, Marinelli is introducing her colossal cookies in 13 unique flavors. These enormous, cookies come in one-of-a-kind flavors that Marinelli personally created and perfected. Fully loaded chocolate chip, outrageous oatmeal raisin, black forest, sugar pistachio craisin, and strawberry sugar cinnamon are just a few of the options which will be available this fall.

Back-To-School Goodies

Marinelli offers a "student's survival pack" that can be delivered to a son or daughter who has gone off to college.

"Cookies can be really comforting and a reminder of home for kids who are away at school," said Marinelli. "It's a nice way for mom or dad to let them know they are thinking about them."

Gift boxes of cookies can be customized for every holiday and occasion. Bakery boxes are also available for order and pick up by Springfield residents. Cookies By Diane are also available for purchase at 320 Market Cafe in Swarthmore.
