I am asked all the time, what home improvements get the best return on investment.
Also, when going out on listings, sellers are quite surprised as to how all their years of improvements are not getting the return they thought. Keep in mind that if you are in a home for many years there are always going to be improvements, upgrades, additions, etc. Unfortunately you can not expect 100% cost return.
Try to make smart decisions about your changes for the future.
I have included a link to give you an idea of cost vs. value. It is a general rule of thumb for the Philadelphia area.
