SPRINGFIELD, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Education has recently updated its database to include teacher salary data for 2016-17. Several Delaware County-area school districts are among the highest-paying in the region, according to the data.

So what were Springfield School District's figures?

According to PDE data, the average teacher in the district has worked there for 15 years and earned a $74,438.74 salary.
